Hailing from the western region of Africa, I live by the profound adage, “Oba Nyankonsoroma te Nyame so n ante ne ho so.” The meaning, deeply rooted in my existence, proclaims that I am a child of the Supreme Being. I rely not on myself but draw illumination from His divine reflection. Guided by this higher calling, my life’s mission is to instruct, motivate, and uplift so that every space graced by my presence is improved. Not through my own significance but through the divine spirit within me that permeates all that I do.
My vision encompasses writing and publishing and, most crucially, establishing a school to truthfully impart the richness of African cultures, passing the torch of knowledge and skills to Africa’s proud descendants.
As a fervent learner and educator, my academic pursuit currently revolves around a PhD in Education with a specialization in Educational Technology. My educational background includes degrees in Fashion Marketing and Business Administration, along with a Master’s degree in Education focusing on Distance Education and Higher Education Administration. Certified to teach in both Texas and South Carolina, my endorsements range from Gifted Education to Early Childhood Education, English Language Arts, and Special Education. Since 1980, I have dedicated myself to facilitating Artist in Education programs on a journey that has spanned nationally and internationally.
My global footprint is wide, from Africa’s vibrant landscapes (Ghana, Maiduguri, Lagos, Abuja, Bui) to the historical cities of Europe (France, London, Germany – Berlin, Frankfurt, Stade, Buxtehude) and North America (Canada, Arkansas, New Jersey, New York). For over three decades, my cultural arts and art history programs have enriched both public and private entities, reaching a broad spectrum of students and staff.
In my view, each of us possesses a unique gift, and mine undoubtedly lies in teaching. I consider this talent my personal ministry and hence approach the educational process with intentional commitment. Gaskiya’s Compound and Gaskiya’s Online Academy serve as platforms through which I continue to utilize my gift, empowering others through knowledge and inspiration.
